Estgart
Geography
Estgart covers the northern 60% of Fustia's western coast, transitioning into foothills and then to flat plains afterwards. It precipitously drops as it meets the sea. The sea-side cliffs are frequently broken up by fjords and rivers. Several mountain passes cut through Estgart, but only three of them are of the size and direction suitable for large merchant caravans.
Fauna & Flora
The mountain ranges are covered in thick forests with various deer, goat, and boar species as the primary herbivores, with wolves, foxes, and cats as the most common predators but they have to compete with bears, griffons, and trolls as well. The ranges of the last two are significantly larger than the others, and thus rarer than them. But they do represent a very significant threat to the local population and any travelers who unknowingly enter their ranges.
Mainly conifers in the north but transition into deciduous trees the further south one travels.
Natural Resources
The trees that grow in the range are mainly a combination of pines, oaks, birch, elms, and apple trees.
The most common mineral deposits are iron, silver, and copper. There are also several deposits of mithril in southern Estgart.
Agriculture of most humans in Estgart focuses on the herding of sheep. The breed of sheep that is most commonally herded in those two areas is a tough breed and has a double coat to deal with the harsh winters. The inner coat is a fine hair commonally used for cloth meant for contact with skin, while the outer coat is coarser and used for items that aren't meant for skin contact (rugs, cloaks, etc)
