Common Phrases
Mangksum (/mæŋksəm/), from "manoksaamun" meaning "young girl," is a slang term with a strange double meaning. When a man calls his wife mangksum, it's a term of endearment with a lot of weight behind it. When anyone calls a man mangksum, however, it is a grave insult. NOTE: These connotations carry much less weight on the frontiers of the empire and where there are fewer Eiji people.
