Shear's Fall

A world that promised infinite possibility and probability, but has become what can only be described as the essence of the futility of Man.   This world used to be teeming with magical power and plenty of riches before it's darkest hours descended upon it.   First came the original Shear, a magic construct the size of a small mountain which attacked the Iron Isles. Second came the coming of Ragnarok itself, which ravaged the world and robbed it of it's magic by destroying the World Tree, Yggdrasil. Alongside this was a cloak-and-dagger operation to take over the most powerful country in the world, which would go on to cause the final event; when the world seemed to be getting back on it's feet, a grueling 200-year war kick-started which caused destruction of almost the entirety of humanity. Now the future of the world seems very bleak.   Now, our heroes will set forth into a land almost completely undone by Man's over-ambition.   Will the realm be resurrected? Or will it finally return to the dust from whence it came?
