Shattered Moria

“…Moria hasn't seen major conflict in centuries. Ever since the fall of the mighty kingdoms that once controlled all of the country, a peace has fallen upon the land.   Instead of castles ruling, the world was littered with religious temples acting as political hotspots. The theocracy presided over major cities, expanding their body of influence over the people. In fact, some temples claimed to be personally protected by the angels, whom spoke through the members themselves.   All was fine in Moria, until the heavens fell silent around a decade ago, leaving temples with weakening spheres of influence and increasing sacrilegious actions out of desperation. God and His angels have fallen silent, but the demons and devils have begun screaming.   …Or at least that is what they say. Personally, I think it’s just a tactic the heretics are spewing to cause disruption in our lives. Don’t you think that if Moria was really crumbling so hard that we would have more concrete evidence? I mean, come on. You’re going to have to try harder than that to fool me!   Anyways, you’re going to the Festival of the Mortal Realm, right? Come bathe in the golden light of the angels as the circle of mortal life is celebrated under the watchful eye of our radiant guardians! Whether you are receiving this letter as an honored guest, contracted to assist in the preparations, are simply are being allured to the excitement of the week-long festival, the doors of the bustling city of Tine are open to you! Come one and come all…”
