Shatter

After the cataclysmic awakening of the "Old Ones," This is our world. These creatures devoured, altered, and now rule over the world. In their wake, they left new creatures, laws of nature, and most of all, madness. This world is an early work in progress for a game system I am creating after receiving the idea for a no-magic steampunk-ish world from a fellow Game Master, The Rat King. The Rat King and another member argued back and forth over whether the setting should have no magic or low-magic, if the magic system should be hard or soft, and if there should be cosmic horror or not. This system will be a Diesalpunk low-hard-magic system where all magic stems from cosmic horrors in the form of madness.
