In another plane of existence, life relies upon the regular Shardfall; a coalescence of the magical energies that allow this world to exist. In the middle of all of this are humans, brought here by accident many centuries ago, who attempt to exploit and make sense of the strange world around them. They are not the only sapient beings around, and not all are content to allow these outsiders to stay.
