Description

Humans are a medium sized, endoskeletal species, with two arms ending in 5 digits, and no tail. They are ground based, using 2 legs to move. They sense using 2 refractive cornea eyes and can hear using ears, and have a simple sense of smell, and communicated using vocal cords. They live in a plains environments in a temperate climate, and have an omnivorous variable diet. They form complex cultures. They can use Elemental magic.

Brief history

Humans are a relatively recent arrival in this world, having suddenly appeared less than seven hundred years ago. Since then they have become one of the most vigourous and expansionist species, quickly expanding out from their home Strata, both to colonise, and to exploit. Their relations with the older species is mixed, but most see the humans as dangerous newcomers, far too willing to take what they want at the expense of others.
They have dozens of rival and cooperative nations, but by far the largest and most advanced is Altruis.
