Shard The world of Shard is a place of magic and mystery where humans rule vast empires and the Elven people choose to live with them, or against them.

It was a normal day, the sun shone, the birds sang in the trees, then the sky fell in. The demise of the great dragon was swift. Plunging to the ground in a great screaming fury of light and heat. The dragon shattered into thousands of pieces that scattered all across the four continents, and then, there was silence.   That was 1000 years ago and still the fallout from that great event afflicts the dwellers on Shard. The Highborn Elven people are no longer the dominant race. Humans, with their uncanny ability to control the power held within the Dragon pieces, have taken over as the dominant race. Elven people fall into Two factions. Those that serve the Human Empires and live in peace and those that do not.   Amidst the turmoil and political intrigue there sits the Rangers. A faction unlike no other. Deeply loyal to their defence of all people, they protect the populations against evil, in all it's shapes. Helping them in their quest are the Crystal Witches. These generous people aid the Rangers in their quest to protect the innocent. However, in the shadows there always lurk those that wish to pervert the crystals for their own gain, and what of this powerful, yet elusive people who live in the frozen north?
