Wildlands

The Wildlands are a wide belt of rough, inhospitable wasteland surrounding the Broken Coast, spellscarred by the Earthshattering, wracked by storms of distorted magical energies, cracks in the boundaries between planes, and savage beasts. Their existence has kept the Broken Coast separate from the rest of Alatheia for the past 900 years except by ship travel. Exploration parties are sent out regularly from Silent Shield and Ven Boldhir to traverse the Wildlands, but none of the ones that have returned could report success.
