Dunkelzahn awakens in Cherry Creek Lake, Denver. Unlike the other great dragons, he immediately makes himself available to the media, aiming to help humanity make sense of the Awakening.
Of all the reporters vying for an interview, anchorwoman Holly Brighton won the contest, and he was interviewed for a mind-boggling 12 hours and 16 minutes. The interview made Dunkelzahn famous, and he went on to host a regular show 30 years later, Wyrm Talk.
