Basic Information

Anatomy

Western dragons tend to resemble large, serpentine lizards with two wings, two clawed arms with opposable thumbs and two legs. They grow up to 20m long with a 30m wingspan.
Eastern dragons have four limbs and dexterous, four-fingered claws. Despite their lack of wings they are able to fly just as well as their western brethren. They grow to about 15m long but they have long tails, sometimes as much as 20m long.
Feathered Serpents have long, snakelike bodies, one set of limbs and brilliantly coloured, feathered, wings. Their feet have five digits, one of which is able to function as a thumb. They are about 20m in length with a wingspan of 15m.
Leviathans are sea dragons - 25m long serpentine figures with four stubby limbs that have powerful webbed claws. Leviathans heads are long and flat with powerful jaws and usually have a strip of long kelp-like hair along the dorsal ridge. Unlike their land-dwelling brethren, leviathan scales are small and fine.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Most dragons view metahumanity as a resource to be exploited. A few do not, notably Dunkelzahn and Hestaby, both of which have tried to bridge the gap between the two on several occasions.   After The Great Dragon Civil War, the new Loremaster Celedyr declared a deadline for all grievances that Great Dragons have against metahumanity. After 26/12/2075, no dragon will be allowed to commit large-scale acts of violence against metahumanity without the other dragons acting, and all existing grievances are considered settled.
