Pacific Institute of Technology & Thaumaturgy
121st S. & J St.
One of metroplex’s finest institutes of higher learning.
Formerly Pacific University, it was commonly called by the unfortunate nickname, "PU." When the university expanded it's curriculum with robust classes in the arcane and emerging technologies, they rebranded themselves as the Pacific Institute of Technology and Thaumaturgy. This new ill-thought out ensured the students would now call the institute, "The PITT." The name would become prophetic as the university hemorrhaged money over the years. It turns out that in their attempt to be one of the first universities to offer classes in magical studies, that much of the offered curriculum could be charitably called Pseudo Sciences. The PITT became, to many, a joke that churned out faith healers, fortune tellers and cult leaders. While this was an exaggeration of the truth, Paul Grigg did not do the PITT any favors. After teaching there for several years, the shaman would later become one of the founders of the Universal Brotherhood.
