Arkham City
Arkham is a circular city surrounded not by any physical walls or barriers but rather a large etching burned into the dark black soil itself that encumbers the entirety of the city. The etching resembles an Alchemic circle and emits a faint green glow. The buildings are stone in nature but riddled with green glowing veins and bares a resemblance to marble. Any fences or gates are made of an ornate and hauntingly beautiful wrought iron. Shadowy wisps of grass make up the terrain where stone or cobble roads are not paved. Black thorny vines grow rampant through the town and blossomed dark crimson roses are scattered throughout. The shrubbery varies in color from dark greens to dark blues and purples. At the very center of the town lies Arkham Academy Manor, which is surrounded by a small forest of gnarled and twisted burton-esque trees. They are either black or ash colored trees with inklings of dark purple leaves.
Geography
Arkham is a forested city (a forest known as Abbith Woods) in a an expansive valley in Western Shadowfell. Many of its vast trees were cut down to make way for its large and ever growing community of Shadar-Kai, vampires, goblins, orcs, genasi, elves-being mostly drow, kenku, tieflings, and even humans-although they are few and far between.
Natural Resources
There is a large lake and waterfall that lies within the forest surrounding Arkham Manor/Academy known as Celeano Lake which is the city's primary source of water.
It has been prosperous due to it's mines that contain a very powerful sought after green ore as well as there abundance of limestone.
Abbith Woods provides the city with plenty of firewood and building materials.
