Auspice

Auspice is the term for the phase of the Moon under which a Garou was born. An Auspice is sacred to the Garou and it determines a person's role in Garou society. This is not some imagined breakdown of roles such as humans have, it is very real and it dictates much of the Garous nature and demeanor.

RAGABASH

Ragabash are those Garou born under the New Moon, they are trickster and jokers. Their role is finding creative solutions to problems and questioning the Old Ways. They are intended to allow the Garou society to stay in touch with the changing times.
Apply the following to your character if you are playing a Ragabash:

• The characters Permanent Rage is 1.
• The characters Permanent Gnosis is 5.
• Chose a single permanent Level 1 Ragabash Gift for your character to possess.
• Either start the game with 3 additional dots in Connections.
• Starting Renown: Wisdom 1, Honor 1, Glory 1. Distribute 1 additional dot to 2 Renown categories as you see fit.

THEURGE

Those Garou born under the Crescent Moon have a natural predisposition in dealing with spiritual matters. Their role is to be the Garou nations shamans and interpret the will of the spirits, including the will of Gaia herself.

• Chose a single permanent Level 1 Theurge Gift for your character to possess.
• Chose 3 Level 1 Rites during character Creation. 
• Starting Renown: Wisdom 3, Honor 1, Glory 1.

PHILODOX

The Half-moon symbolizes balance and justice. Appropriately those Garou born under the Half Moon are the judges and mediators of Garou society. They are most commonly found in leadership roles as their tempered nature allows them to harness the full potential of their packmates.

• The characters Permanent Rage is 3.
• The characters Permanent Gnosis is 3.
• Chose a single permanent Level 1 Philodox Gift for your character to possess.
• Chose 2 Level 1 Rites during character Creation.
• Starting Renown: Wisdom 1, Honor 3, Glory 1. Distribute 1 additional dot to either Wisdom or Glory. 

GALLIARD

Those born under the Gibbous Moon have a natural tendency to be able to inspire their brethren. They are passionate and are the Garou nations keepers of ancient lore. They commonly take on the role of bards, storytellers and chroniclers.

• The characters Permanent Rage is 4.
• The characters Permanent Gnosis is 2.
• Chose a single permanent Level 1 Galliard Gift for your character to possess.
• Chose 1 Level 1 Rite during character Creation.
• The character adds a 2 Point Bonus to any Howl he makes.
• Starting Renown: Wisdom 1, Honor 1, Glory 1. Distribute 2 additional dots to a single Renown category as you see fit.

AHROUN

The Full Moon is Luna's war aspects and signals that the time for subtlety is over. Naturally Garou born under its auspice are the most aggressive and war-like of their kin. While it is true that all Garou are formidable warriors in their own right the Ahroun are a breed apart and they take on their responsibility of pack guardians seriously, woe to the foe who crosses their path.
