Demons Of The Burning Night: Part Eight

General Summary

Though there are a large number of creatures, Cran and Sharna hold the mummies back long enough for Sylke and Ugnan to ready and cast a series of spells that disrupt the creature's onslaught. Meanwhile, Cherry and Numal shower the creatures with arrows and occasionally dart in to use their enchanted blades. Suffering relatively minor damage, the party manage to overcome the foul creatures and are able to explore the apparently empty chamber. The sarcophagi are all open and empty; a search of the stone containers reveals nothing. However, cracks and markings on the eastern wall hint that a door or opening is present but the opening mechanism is hidden. Try as they might, careful searches and reveals nothing. With resignation and aware that this is a last (but probably effective) resort, Cran gets out his trusty crowbar, "Betty"…..
