The Soul Dagger

Rumor has it that Luenlan's queen has armed her First Class Redguard assassin with the soul dagger.
The soul dagger is said to be able to rip your soul from your body and trap it inside the blade, leaving you soulless even if you're wearing your own soul stone.
Whether or not it is factual, the threat of the soul dagger has made any kind of challenge toward the queen almost non-existent. Supposedly, the queen had the soul dagger used on her own brother when it was thought that he might have been moving to challenge the throne. Defendants of the queen insist that her brother's soullessness was merely a tragic accident of placement and timing. 
The soul dagger cannot be positively identified by sight alone. The few historical explorations regarding past soul daggers have depicted differing forms. One was supposedly made of obsidian, while another was enchanted silver, and a third was recorded as being as plain as an eating knife. This ambiguity lends to the dagger's fearsome reputation, because literally any weapon in the hands of a First Class Redguard could potentially be the dreaded soul dagger. 
The queen has neither confirmed nor denied whether or not her Redguard is in possession of a genuine soul dagger.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Scholarly speculation indicates that the soul dagger most likely has some kind of corrupted soul gem inside it, perhaps tainted with a tainted form of aesul elixir created from leaves from a blood tainted tree of life.

History

Legend claims that the original soul dagger was made pre-Sundering by a master artificer because he was exhausted of living. His intention was to thwart the Sanctuary system entirely, but only made himself soulless. His grieving family entreated his apprentices and colleagues to retrieve and restore his soul, but none were successful. Some believe he may have been the very first known soulless.
Over the course of time, several soul daggers were rumored to have been constructed and destroyed, but some believe there has only ever been one, and it is impossible to destroy it.
