Arachstra

Introduction

The arachstra are an intelligent fey variant of giant spider after the grand shadow was destroyed their world remained attached to ours. have significant fey charasteristics.   They are a hive species but their intelligence has made them social within this. As such they pride on their hive and will die to protect it, they carry this mentallity with them when adventuring often making them seem posessive of their party members.   The hive is lead by a queen who lays the eggs, the size of the queen is significantly larger than the rest of the species when a new clutch is born they are raised and taught by the whole hive society they reach maturity at about 10 years and live for around 100 years. If another queen is born it is taugh in the same way how to be a queen, the queens dont grow beyond the size of a normal arachstra until they are ready to start their own hive.   All species are adept at spinning their silk into fabrics, but usually they appoint tailors to process and create whatever they need, like bags, clothes (sort of), bedding or spools to sell and trade.   They do wear forms of outfits, armors, backpacks   Apearance their height are at a medium size slightly above 1 meter. They have 6 eyes and 8 light fur covered legs, the color of the eyes and fur on its abdoment depend on the subrace of the species.  

Types

Gold

These are also known as dragon type arachstra their eyes have a golden color and the furs a similar yellow, they are generally larger than the other types. They have a similiar urge to collect things as dragons and pridefully display it in their hive. This can be from gold or gems to weapons or books. Whatever it is normally the entire hive is obsessed by it.   Their hives are often in caves. They use their webs more like nets when chasing down enemies.  

Snow

The ghost arachstra, their eyes are blue and furs are blue with whites. Their hives are often well hidden as they can spin their webs translucently making it hard to spot. Their hives are truely minimalistic and could be in forest, caves, mountain ranges anyone not paying attention could uknowningly pass through their hive without ever knowing. They pride stealth and subterfuge and enjoy the challenge and so enjoy many games and duels and rarely back down from a challenge. But if there is even a hint of a threat all internal rivalries are dropped as if they were never there for the hive.   They patiently use their webs and enviroment to trap their prey.  

limitation and abilities

  Can spit web in an area, as a net. Cannot use heavy weapons as they have no hands. They do wear armor and can use weapons, often having to useing them in different ways than creatures with hands do. The Arachstra are capable of modifying armor and weapons so they can be used by them.

Age. Arachstra mature faster than humans but due to their fey heritagelive longer They reach maturity at about 12 years old and can live about halfway into their second century.   Size. Medium. about 3 ft. in height and 4 ft long.   Darkvision. Accustomed to life in the often dark hives, you have superior darkvision in dark and im conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.   Fey. Your creature type is fey, rather than humanoid.   Spider climb. You have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed. In addition you can move up, down, and across vertical surfaces and upside down along ceilings, while leaving your hands free. Even on difficult surfaces you do not need to make an ability check.   Web Sense. While in contact with a web, you know the exact location of any other creature in contact with the same web.   Web Walker. You ignores movement restrictions caused by webbing.   Web Spitter. You can cast the Web spell with this trait, it lasts for 1 minute before collapsing and does not require concentration. the spell DC is 8 + proficiency + con. You cant cast that spell again until you finish a long rest.   Web Net. You spit a more fine web at your target. After you have taken the attack action you can replace one of your attacks with a Net attack. This net if exposed to fire burns away in one round dealing 2d4 fire damage to any creature that starts it turn in the fire. You can use this attack an amount of times up to your proficiency bonus. You regain all charges when you finish a long rest.   No hands. You cannot use weapons with the Heavy property   Game of deception. (Snow) You have proficiency in two of the following skills of your choice: stealth, deception, perception, insight.   Game of knowledge. (Gold) You have proficiency in the two of the following skills of your choice: history, arcana, religion, nature.
