Something Dangerous: Intro

Paul had seen a lot of questionable things in the two hundred and sixty three years since his ascension into his current life, and much more in the many years preceding it. All of these things had but two common characteristics: they were questionable at best, and Paul shouldn’t have been anywhere near any of it to begin with.

But, as usual, someone had called in a favor. Someone with bright green hair and an adorable smile. Someone with a best friend that was on his god’s radar, and Paul just had to agree to it. He huffed, struggling fruitlessly against his bonds in the inky blackness that surrounded him. Struggling got him nowhere, however, as the rope tightened in response, digging into his wrists and ankles. He suppressed a cry of pain, because damn it, it hurt like… like most things that were illegal in Heaven and he hadn’t had to deal with any of it for the past ninety-five years.

“Damn those half breeds, may they all have horrid luck.” He growled to no one in particular, wishing to be far away from his current predicament and to be anything beside an angel, because damn was definitely not a strong enough word for this matter. Paul doubted that Joker, the newest name Amaethon was going by, had even heard his prayer-curse thing. That particular god, of luck of all things, never really smiled upon him anyways. If he did, perhaps Paul would end up in less of these life threatening situations. Perhaps we should start from the beginning.
