Hell Reverse - Part 17

"She reminds me of Hermes, almost." Isis sighed, stirring the liquid in her cup without actually thinking about it.

"In the 'they're both dead' way or..." Jinx asked. His feet were kicked up on his aunt's chair, as he leaned his own back with a groan.

"Well, not quite that way," She thought for a moment. "But you're not wrong about that either. There's a lot of similarities."

"Except Hermes didn't have a child."

"You're not so right on that. Hermes had many children, as many of the deities of the era did." There was another sigh. "But Virtue's children are... different in that sense. Hermes' children didn't pursue their father's line of work- in the cases where they knew who or what he was. Hers, on the other hand, had no idea what she did or anything, and seemed to have seamlessly gravitated to it anyway."

"That's unusual."

"Very."

"Do you think they're communicating somehow?"

"How would they be? When the eldest met my husband for the first time, he ended up with a black eye. How would she take communicating with the dead."

"As well as oil and water, probably."
