Hell Reverse - Part 11

25, First April

The sound of glass shattering echoed through the hallway. Lower daemons scurried this way and that, attempting to evade the rage of one very angry deity.

"Sir."

"What." Osiris barked. Tiny shards were embedded in his forearms, but that did not seem to stop him as another shiny black orb was aimed at the window.

"Those are expensive." Lucifer informed him. He said nothing on the topic of Osiris' bad aim. There was a mix between a crunch and a clatter as the orb smashed a lowly daemon in the face. It did not get back up immediately.

"Good," He spat. "Don't replace them."

"They have more used than just a prison-"

"I don't care- how did they even figure how to warp between orbs." He demanded. Lucifer leaned against the wall, and folded his arms together.

"They were well versed in god artifacts before they got here. It's not hard to put two and two together."

The pair listened as the screams of the dead seemed to get closer than previously thought.

"I should unravel them." Osiris grumbled, shuffling over to the nearest counter. There was a coffee pot with his name on it, and god of death or not, caffeine was an important factor in his existence.

"That's not practiced anymore." Lucifer informed him. "Pretty sure it might be considered a war crime, now."

"S-sir." A tiny daemon stammered, rolling to a sudden stop before the god.

"What."

"W-Wisdom and V-virtue are causing problems in the receiving..." The daemon slowed to a stop, backing away slowly from his patron god.

"On second thought," Lucifer said offhanded, "Maybe it isn't a bad idea after all."

"How did they even get that far." There was another crash, and a subsequent groan.
