FFM24: Things That Fly
He plucked at his wings, kicking one leg back and forth absently. Paul was nervous, and really, why wouldn't he be? He was an angel of the lord, and had been for many centuries now. Women confused him greatly, and honestly, it wasn't always the good, fluttery kind of confusion he felt when Reyna would smile at him.
Paul tried to ignore the growing realization that the Djinn in question smiled at everyone who presented her with coffee and a bagel. He shook his head, fingering the tickets in his coat pocket. He was going to take Reyna to a carnival, and she had said yes.
He wouldn't ever get over that part. She had said yes!
...And then her phone had rang. It was Spade, she said, and she needed to go immediately but she would make it up to him. Reyna had sworn it.
Paul honestly didn't know if that would be true, or not. He shredded the tickets.
