"What is an Evore?" Sean asked Reyna.

"Uhm." Reyna closed her book, and thought for a moment. "Are you familiar with the human concept of Vampires?"

"Well, yea." Sean, the very much human and not quite good at hiding as a humaniod being, gave her a crass look.

"The Evore are the beings which those myths are based off of. Or rather, the fears relating to the Evore."

"So you're telling me the whole race is very, very, dead and totally allergic to garlic and cannot see their reflections?" It was Reyna's turn to give Sean an unkind look.

"No. Most if not all of them are very much alive - even those currently graced with a Second Life." She sighed. "I don't even know where the whole garlic thing started. Humans are weird."

"What about the reflections?" Sean paused for a moment. "Do they drink blood?"

Reyna decided very quickly that answering Sean's questions was a large mistake.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Humanoid shape - though bone density/structure and anything built up from there is species specific.

Genetics and Reproduction

Sexual reproduction only. Gestation is 56-60 weeks long, where fetuses are not viable prior to 48 weeks. Females are usually fertile 2-3 weeks every 6-week month.

Growth Rate & Stages

Children grow slowly, reaching the age of maturity at 34-38 years old. They retain this form up until 1500 years, where then they begin to age further. Those whom experienced Second Life somewhere before their 1000th year start to age into a brittle, almost papery being, while those whom haven't experienced second life have skin that begins to thicken and progressively continues until death.
