Leonin

Lore

Native to the warmer regions of the known world Leonin are a proud and strong race of catfolk   Prides of these nomadic, lion-like humanoids tend to have an unfavorable view on outsiders. Leonin are quick to anger and will retaliate against even the slightest insult to their honor or pride. Larger than most humanoids, most leonin have powerful builds which, when combined with their sharp claws and teeth, makes the formidable foes.   They typically stand 6 feet tall and can average a weight ranging from 80-120 kg, with females being shorter by no more than a few inches and falling in the lighter weight category. The average Leonine has an elegant yet wild body style, with their bodies ranging widely, some (usually males) exhibit a very short coat of fur covering 80% of their body and typically having a head and face that closely resembles that of their kin. Females tend be more human in appearance with almost no fur with the exception of very brilliant blond hair. Eye color is generally determined by the human parent but can also very bright shades of blue or green, overall Leonine have very toned builds with little to no fat present at all which makes them more uncomfortable in cold temperatures than most humans even.   In the Southern Shelf and parts of Graecia prides of Leonin find themselves at odds with Gnoll packs making them natural enemies often exchanging in constant skirmishes with one another.   In very rare cases a Leonin will give birth to a Nenabuu who in nature are larger and more ferocious than Leonin cousins distinguishable by their tiger-striped fur they are often feared by Leonin prides.   Neabuu tends to be solitary hunters avoiding contact with most other races, However, if they come in contact with a Leonin pride they tend to aggressively attack sight, and because of this, it leads them to be abandoned at birth my their Leonin parents if one manages to live to adulthood they tend to be a force to be reckoned with.
