The Underdark
Underneath the entire continent of Zerosh, even the Blight, lies a vast network of caverns and tunnels. Not all surface caves lead there...if you're foolish enough to seek out the Underdark, you'll have the most luck in the center of the continent, within the borders of Halchir. Legends say it's inhabited by cities of drow, duergar, strange beings with tentacles, and other beasts, none of which like outsiders. Adventurers that return from an expedition always come telling tales of how they almost got lost, or escaped by the skin of their teeth...enticing future generations of explorers.
Older histories speak of small parties of Underdark natives coming to the surface, but there's no evidence of it happening in the recent centuries.
