Lake Avathus

Lake Avathus is easily the largest body of freshwater in the world of Seras. The waters there tend to be placid and easily navigable. It teems with life and provides a life for the people who live along its shores. There are rumors that somewhere under it lies an ancient Elven ruin from the time before the Great War, but nobody knows for sure as those who have tried to dive into the depths have never returned.
While no one is exactly how deep Lake Avathus goes, it is deeper than 100 fathoms so far as anyone has been able to tell. Though no one knows exactly how deep. The lake itself is freshwater, but it is riddled with caverns and holes occupied by many and varying beasts. Some even theorize that there may be some sort of underwater nations below the surface, but nobody has ever verified that.
