The world of Sel'vr is as diverse as it is large, covering thousands of miles and dozens of locations. You can prowl through the marshes and jungles of Dewbogue; pick through the bones of titans long passed in the Plains of Outti; climb the Palm of the World to discover the Temple of the Spire: all these and more await you in Sel'vr.   This world is populated by a litany of races, religions, regions, and more to discover. Drop your party in one of the five main continents, or any of the spattering of islands, for a unique experience every time. With gods and devils roaming the world, and ancient entities turning their attention to the catalyst that is Sel'vr, there is more than enough opportunity for adventuring and excitement.   However, there is a major twist: the players form fledgling gods of the region, and the world's, pantheon. They play a game of tug-of-war on a vast scale, impacting hundreds, thousands, millions of lives as they form alliances, enemies, and determine their ultimate worldview.   -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   Sel’vr, the draconic word for Seed, is another world floating in the ethereal muck of the cosmos. But the first amphibian to pull itself from the primordial soup didn’t stop at lizards, and soon the first of the dragons evolved. The dragons were the first people, the Irral, and soon spread across the world. However, as they grew in size and intelligence, and as their singular civilization spread across the world and power grew, the world could not support them, and fractures began to appear. As all things do, they inevitably crumbled. The singular reign of dragons ended before the first man ever walked the earth. The wars and civilization devastated the world, and they agreed to never try and conquer as they had, creating a pact that prevented such empire-building from occurring again, or else all dragons would rise up against them. Dragons, now spread across the world, took various paths: many devolved, becoming hyper-apex predators and diving fully into savagery, fighting for territory with other beasts and dragons; others isolated themselves, hiding themselves away in various places across the world in a singular pursuit of wisdom and intellect; others formed communes, grouping together in ways so as not to break their pact, creating cities nested deep in mountains, tunneling under vast plains, diving into the deepest lakes or living on the bottom of the ocean, or in the undergrowth of the elder forests; however, the most notable took interest in the growth of man. These dragons took great interest in the evolution of people, studying the primitives, and across the globe independently reached the decision to make their own, for various reasons. While the majority of dragons did not take part in this (the Tivol), those who did used everything they had learned from the era’s of draconic rule They forced millenia of evolution in decades, creating anthropomorphic races out of creatures across the planet: canine, reptilian, feline, ape, and more. Some, the Latali (aides), simply desired intellectual companionship, to share in insights outside of their species; others, named the Benvolieth created them as sources of food,or- for the most malevolent and savage- a more interesting hunt; and for several others, they simply wished to be hailed as gods, creating the Yuan-Ti (holdover till I make my own race), or to stretch their intellect and ego as far as it could go, creating peoples out of the most dull and seemingly impossible groups (i.e. the grungs). However, the dragons had also unintentionally created their undoing. While the Latali had created symbiotic (or at least amicable) relationships with many races, the Benvolieth had, via natural selection, created races with the talents they needed to overcome the dragons, and an inborn hatred of them. Dragons were hunted to near extinction in the Benvoleith zones, and in their wake were left people of incredible battle potential and savagery. The tribes of Mil and Onaski Conglomerate are the remnants of that war. And, with the spread of people across the world, many more were simply pushed into rarity. The Nurilt, the devolution of dragons, now occupy the front of the mind of the world as what dragons are- incredibly dangerous, hyper-intelligent predators, as much of the Tivol were starved out or simply chose to abandon areas with intelligent (and either fearful or hateful) life.   Thus, the era of the Peoples began.
