Shahanshah Tajjeddin IV 'Father of Nations' Zamanid - Emperor of Lian (Shah-an-Shah Taj-o-din)

Beginner of A New Era

Second son of Shahanshah Freidon II he was exiled from the realm along with his tutor when he was ten years old by the orders of Mahan Mirza, a regent placed by the nobility to oversee the ascension of Tajjeddin's younger brother Freidon III to the throne, Tajjeddin was seen as unfit to rule by his mother since he proved very hard to control even at nine years old, and finally, when she died the nobility petitioned old man Mahan Mirza to exile the prince with the pretense of "misguidedness and aggressiveness" that his tutor, Attar Doran, had put in his mind, they were assigned to a far-away imperial resort under house arrest.
Tajjeddin's older brother Shiran Khan had rebelled against his mother after she illegally assumed the throne when their father died, Shiran Khan was sixteen years older than Tajjeddin and was from a different mother, growing up He always liked Tajjeddin's intellect and mild temper, quite contrary to what the nobility had people believe. So when he heard the news of his brother being exiled he organized a raid on the imperial resort and planned for an attack to rescue his brother.
Meanwhile, at the resort, Attar Doran, grandson of the legendary general and explorer Aalmehran Doran, Duke of Ariandor, continued teaching the prince about the different cultures, languages, and traditions of the realm, teachings that the prince would take to heart and help him become the father of nations, but Attar was not happy with the situation of his liege and wanted to return the title of King of Rouvan and Emperor of Lian to him, as he saw Shiran Khan too hot-headed and Freidon III an undereducated puppet of the aristocrats, he negotiated fiercely with the leader of the Imperial Fadaiis, guardians of the royal family, a young man named Lorin Bakdashian who wasn't all-too-happy with the regency either as he thought the old man is wasting time with bureaucratic nonsense instead of putting down the rebellious vassals of the Empire and was an admirer of Shiran Khan, and he was convinced to help Attar stage a coup in the capital and depose the regent, but a noble attache to the imperial fadaiis found out about the plan and informed the capital, the nobles promptly assembled an army two-thousand men and sent them to capture the traitors.
Shiran Khan came to the resort only to find out that it is under siege, he sent an emissary to the resort in the dark and learned of the situation, they devised a plan to pincer the attacking army and during the battle, his forces along with well trained and motivated fadaiis utterly squashed the loyalist forces and rescued the prince, Tajjeddin was overjoyed to see his brother return, notably on the way back Shiran Khan put Tajjeddin in front of himself and the rode on the same horse, Tejjeddin later said this is one of his fondest memories and he will never forget stories that Shiran told him while returning to his domain.
In Uzgenj where Shiran had chosen as his base of operations while the young trio, Attar, Shiran, and Lorin grew more cooperative and drew schemes to overthrow the regency, young Tajjeddin studied poetry, courtly traditions, and literature from Shiran's wife, Duchess Elnas of Mahshahr, she was even older than Prince Shiran, making her twenty years older than Tajjeddin, the bond between the two grew stronger each passing day and Tajjeddin treated Elnas like a mother that he effectively never had.
Attar and Shiran naturally disagreed on the matter of succession but they needed each other in order to pose a strong threat to the nobility of Rouvan, Duchess Elnas proposed an assembly of estates-general, comprising of influential men under Shiran's rule, but the elder prince knew an assembly would definitely vote for his brother who had a much better standing with the nobles of surrounding areas, or, better standing than he had anyway, seeing no other way out of it he reluctantly agreed and decided that he has had enough politics for one day, he drank wine and headed back to his harem, where he wanted to have maids entertain him for the first time in his life, while walking in the silk-carpeted corridors with half-closed eyes and an irresponsive mind he heard something fall to the floor just behind him, to his surprise it was young Tajjeddin, who had followed him all the way from his quarters to gift him an arrow he had made, stunned by the sight Shiran said nothing and made his way to the young prince, he had lost his balance on the staircase and rolled all the way down on his shoulders, he was crying from the pain, a blindly drunken Shiran picked his brother up and tried to walk up the stairs and bring him to Elnas, maids who had noticed the sound came out of the rooms to see what is happening but seeing everyone looking at them Shiran lost his temper and yelled at the maids for not dressing appropriately in front of a child which scared them, he barely crawled his way up the stairs, Tajjeddin's tears kept him motivated all there way through, shield maidens guarding the stairs noticed their princes and were shocked to see such a sight, they immediately rushed to help, Shiran gave Tajjeddin to them but refused help for himself and lied down on the last step in the staircase, maids and shield maidens would beg him to let them help but he would refuse rudely saying "get away from me you devils! bring me my wife!" or "What a disgrace for a warrior! get away from me!" and then fell asleep after some time.
Waking up on his bed Shiran saw his wife Elnas seating on the bed next to him and laughing, irritated, he rolled to left and tried to stand up but fell on his backside which prompted Elnas to rush to him and laugh even harder, "I'm seriously starting to doubt you Shiran, we have some of the fairest maids in the land yet you refuse to even look at them! could it be that you don't like women anymore?", having the hardest hangover of his life didn't help when he tried to articulate a sentence to respond, which came out as murmurs, Elnas helped him get up and sit on a chair and then gave him a potion to accelerate the recovery, barely able to talk the prince responded "how dare you mock me woman? I'm an emperor!" but then he remembered the whole ordeal with estates-general and his brother succeeding to the throne instead of him but he didn't feel angry, just upset but in his mind, he knew that Tajjeddin is a lot better at socializing than he is, and that was true for an underage Tajjeddin, let alone a grown up adult who commends respect, he asked about his brother, Elnas told him that he had broken his shoulder and needs time to fully recover but otherwise he is well and not in pain. Shiran asked Elnas to help him dress up and then he thanked his wife before walking out of the room, he walked towards the staircase and went to talk to the leader of the shield maidens why they had let a little child into the harem, head shield maiden replied "My Prince when we tried to stop him from following you, you turned back and yelled how dare you deny a prince? get out of his way!" and continued your way while laughing loudly! Puzzled, Shiran remembered that moment and swore to never drink again, even though he had broken the same oath last night.
Back at the headquarters, he summoned Lorin, Elnas, Attar, and Borz - his scribe - to tell them that he would officially announce Tajjeddin as the true heir of Freidon and his wife Elnas, as his regent while he reaches the age of sixteen. The only one who resisted and told him to think twice was his wife Elnas, who wanted the love of her life to not regret the most important decision of his life, Shiran reassured her that this is the best way and he trusts Elnas, Attar, and Lorin to teach Tajjeddin how to be a good ruler while he is out fighting for the empire.
