The Torn Lands

After weeks of tracking Vyre across the kingdom of Hanajara with minor skirmishes along the way in which they tried to explain to him the truth of things.
When he lashed out at them with his magic Cirin decided they had tried everything they could and called upon more magic than should theoretically have been possible for anyone. With this magic, he formed a spell that took on the shape of the chaos storms that he had learned to quell in his younger years. The storm ravaged the landscape for three days as Cirin lay in a near-comatose state under the protection of a shield made of roots summoned forth by Violet.
When the storm ended they saw two things, the blackened stone form of Veyrune, and the land had warped in a way that left islands floating in the sky some with strange animals walking on the underside or hanging from the top as if being pulled away. Violet formed a flower out of the ground at the feet of their former companion, Cirin mixing his magic with hers as the flower grew turning it into a living crystal. The Blue Crystal Lilly continues to propagate throughout the Torn Lands.

Architecture

The land is unstable here, with massive islands of stone and dirt hovering over a seemingly endless pit. a few of the earlier islands are connected by rope bridges. The islands they are connected to are further tied with ropes leading back to the mainland in a potentially futile effort to keep them from drifting. The few islands visitors can walk on have a simple rope fence around the perimeter and the guides recommend people not stray too close to the edge. On some of the further islands, there are a pair of arcane gateways set up to allow researchers to delve further into the mystery of the torn lands.

History

Born out of such arcane intensity that has not been seen before or since. The Torn Lands were the result of a battle between Violet Stranglethorne, Cirin Stormbringer, and Veyrune the Corrupted. Veyrune sought to access a temple of Vaniel in order to gain a power strong enough to win Violet from Cirin.
