Session 45
General Summary
2nd of Ranger's Raptor - After interrogating most of the employees, the party made their way to the hospital where Emil's body is. Lying (badly) to get inside, they meet with Erundar Adlan Synda, the manager of the morgue, which is partially located in the sewers. An agreement is made to allow to investigate the body, if the party deals with a troll that had gotten loose.
After travelling deeper into the sewer, the experimented upon troll is found and attacks the party. During the fight, Scribbles is killed, and it reflects psychic damage back at the group. Eventually, Juttar is able to smite the creature, and cuts off its head as evidence. He also throws brains at Scribe.
On the way back, the party meets a group of kobolds, named after their dietery prefrences. Erundar brings the party to Emils corpse, which has similar wounds to Ale. The corpse answers the following questions;
Q; What happened to you?
A; Barrel 6 loaded, gas came out. Q; Who stole the ship?
A; We did. Q; Who is "we"?
A; The Golden Dawn. Q; Where is the ship?
A; We took it. Q; Where exactly did you take the ship?
A; We didn't take the ship anywhere. Afterwards, the party contacted Morgana and through further discussion learned that there is no teleporting or scrying in Meropis. She talks about the Golden Sword, who were magic supremacists and no one remembers who led them, with this Golden Dawn likely connected to those. They could hold a grudge on the Wizard for causing the death of everyone in the district, or Lomas for being involved and getting the land afterwards. The gas is possibly to drop from the airship. The painting could also be a portal, and wouldnt loop if that was the case.
