Scipio

Created by

The known land of Scipio consists of a massive continent surrounded by salt water but also surrounds a fresh-water sea. The geography of Scipio consists of six biomes, referred to as lands. Arkta, the frigid land. Boswon, the swamp land. Conipus, the rainy forest land. Medterra, the dry forest land. Pampas, the fertile land. Savra, the desert land. Sea boats are the easiest ways to travel between lands. The closer one is to the center sea, the safer their existence is. Large swaths of Scipio remain unmapped due to failed expeditions. Arkta is located at the far north of the continent. Pampas and Conipus are located on the western side of Scipio, Savra and Medterra on the east. Boswon is the furthest south.   Most governance is done within city states located in each land. There is little motivation to unite cities within any of the lands into a unifying organization. However, if there was one location that could be considered a capital, it would be Arabbas. Located in Medterra, Arabbas is the most-commonly used trading hub for Scipio. This can be attributed to it's waterfront being the most hospitable for ships of all sizes.   Scipio's population is a healthy mix of the known races. In the past, the races stayed within the lands they were most comfortable in. However, within the last 100 years, the races have moved into the other lands, for better or worse. Each race has at least one settlement in each land, with the exception of Boswon. Boswon's only settlement is Serngai, populated almost entirely by Half-Orcs. Each race has its own home capital as well.   Gnomes and Halflings: Lancaster, Conipus Humans: Onstet, Pampas Orcs: Froustous, Arkta Dwarves: Dellvosk, Arkta Elves: Knollwelk, Medterra   Savra and Boswon are the most unknown lands. There are always groups interested in funding expeditions into those areas. Few parties ever come back alive and those that do don't want payment.
