Renfora
Basic Information
Anatomy
Like salamanders, but with fins running from the head to the tale, and down the arms. The arms are also longer, with webbed, dexterious hands. They have gills, which resemble those of the Axolotls. Their eyes are slightly larger than normal. Their feet are long, and resemble flippers. Their heads are narrower than their land-dewlling relitives. They also have long, sharp claws for digging and carving.
Genetics and Reproduction
The male leaves a cloud of his seed floating in the ocean (note:the stuff is very cold). A female then follows the lowered-temp, and absorbs the cloud. She then lays many eggs. While many eggs are laid, only a few with reach maturity, as the children are left mostly unattended, and many die young.
Growth Rate & Stages
They begin as tadpoles, hatched out of many eggs. When they reach sexual maturity, their foreheads turn blue, a colour otherwise absent from their comourful skins.
Ecology and Habitats
Dark, warm water.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Omnivours. They eat undersea plantlife, and also fish. They hunt the fish with primitive spears made from great spikes of rock.
