Reteric

Reteric is a large continent mostly united as one country except for the northwest land of Erozed. Society in this continent encourages magical development with a large number of mage academies as well as locations reserved for special trials that mages must complete. In the center of this continent is a colossal mountain sized pyramid simply called The Great Temple, at the foot of this temple is the Crown of Order that was once known as the Great Wheel of Elementals. There is a growing conflict in this land due to the rulers hiding and banning the use of Chaos Magic as well as any related elements. This has created a culture where many forms of magic are unknown and feared as dark evil magic which has lead to the isolation of Erozed a land covered in shadowlands with a very different culture within. There was also a culling of people who specialised in the use of these 'dark' magics leading to a society with very few people that have a natural talent with these forbidden elements and those that do are usually suppressed and treat as poor magic users.

Geography

This continent is shaped like an X with large lands to the north, east, south and west also. The north west section of the continent is a vast shadowland sealed off by a giant wall, beyond the wall lies a secretive culture feared by the rest of the continent.

Fauna & Flora

Reteric has a large diversity of biomes ranging from evergreen forests, lush grassy plains to mountains, deserts and swamps as well as a large shadowlands.
