In a world where magic exists and power is its own currency, Detective Jennifer Cortez is distressingly human. As an NYPD detective working organised crime, Jennifer doesn’t often see much field work, not when she cannot even muster a basic shield or reversal spell. So it’s something of a surprise when she’s contracted by the FBI to work an undercover case infiltrating the Unsidhe Court Mob. Her job is simple; get close to the heir Aspen Winters and gather enough evidence to put them away. Fortunately she’s just their type; tall, pretty, and utterly powerless against them.
