Felidae

A race of tall humanoid tigers, the Felidae predominantly can be found in the Eastern Kingdoms, and tend to live in sedentary camps. They used to be divine soldiers of a forgotten deity, and now walk the world with their duty served, and their debt to the divine paid. They tend to live near wooded areas, and don't exactly fortify their camps much: the Felidae prefer the versatility of being able to move fast over heave defenses. While these beasts do not actively seek out battle with the mortal races, they are quick to anger at perceived intruders to their territory. This includes an area around their camp that they consider their hunting grounds: the border of where it is safe to tread around the Felidae are recognizable by their warning signs: they prefer to hunt zebra, and often place poles with the bones of the animal to mark the borders of their territory.   Unexperienced adventurers accidentally wandering into these territories often speak of a kidnapping, but this often proves to be a misunderstanding later. Most of the Felidae do not speak common, but a language consisting of tiger growls instead. Those who do speak Common are called Ambassadors, and are often called to breach this language barrier between their people and the mortal races. However, the Felidae tend to be quite rough in bringing people back to their camp for this purpose, leading many to initially believe that they have been kidnapped. However, when faced with an Ambassador back at the Felidae camp, this often proves to be a misunderstanding: while an encounter with these beasts often proves harmless, children of the Eastern Kingdoms are often taught to either tread lightly in the woods, or stay away altogether.
