Arghashon (Arga-shon)

The Arghashon

The Arghashon were a ship crew of powerful adventurers and heroes who spent their lives going on many extremely dangerous and difficult quests that every other adventurer had either failed at or refused to do. They killed many powerful monsters including the great hydra of the Southlands, the Northern Beast and the kraken. They were expected to never die from their quests, but one day, it all changed.



A suspicious man challenged the crew to slay the mighty Serpent Of Hart Desert, a giant snake with yellow scales that camouflaged in the hot sand. The crew spent many scorching days navigating the seemingly endless sand dunes until one night, one member of the crew was on watch and saw the sand on the horizon falling at an alarming rate. He immediately alerted the other crew members and in a short amount of time, everyone was squinting to try to decipher what it was. The sand stopped falling but a line of sand started to rapidly move towards them. It got closer and closer until an explosion of sand burst upwards, revealing a yellow, scaly tower of a snake. It shot its head back and breathed a stream of fire at the tiny crew. They all managed to dodge and drew their weapons. The battle was a long one, going on throughout the night in a dance of swords, axes, arrows, knives, spears and fire, the fight was extremely difficult and it felt as if it was hotter than the usual blistering temperatures. Eventually, someone climbed up its back and slice it from its neck all the way down. The snake fell with a powerful crash, sending sand in every direction and some members of The Arghashon collapsed in exhaustion. The travel back to their boat 'The Silver Hawk' felt longer and they soon ran out of water. After another 2 exhausting days, the crew finally made it back and they jumped into the sea in happiness. They soon were on the sea with the treacherous desert just a simple line on the horizon.
When they were in the middle of the ocean, the sky went dark to a point where you could see anything on the ship and the ship itself as clear as a sunny day, but everything else was as dark as an endless abyss. Then, the sound of a rattlesnake repeated over and over at an extreme loudness. After all of that, a stream of sand started to pour down from the sky and it slowly assembled into a tall, humanoid creature. It was Sahosa, the desert god, who was the maker of the giant snake (this fact was unknown by the crew). "Sinners!" The god accused, "You have killed one of my creations, and now you must pay for your crimes." After he said that, the crew turned to sand and the boat started to sink. The crew was never seen again.
