The Crescendos

A castle of immense size and incomparable beauty found within the Disigno known as Metramora, The Crescendos is the site of one of the most famous events in history.

Architecture

The entire titanic building is made of crystal-like structures, most of which are jagged spires connected to the sides of the central structure, which is by far the largest and tallest.

History

Legend tells that The Crescendos were constructed long before the Melodies arrived on Planeros by an ancient civilization of mahn known as the Elneoas. True or not, this structure stood unharmed for generations, until one fateful day when a group of criminals decided to use it as a hideout. The local townsfolk were enraged by the destruction and theft the criminals had left in their path, and armed with a few rudimentary weapons, began their assault on the castle. Little did they know, this structure, which lay far outside any Disigno owned by the Melodies, was of great value to the Seven. In the only recorded instance of this happening, three of the Seven Melodies left their Disignos and appeared before the castle. Pentukaolin, Esthesis, and Okyrogen, all standing at fifty feet tall, towered over the scene. Okyrogen began a bloody slaughter of all involved, both criminals and attackers. After his assault was complete and the large staff he carried was dripping in blood, the Melodies present all focused their attention on the bystanders who had gathered to witness the history making scene. Before departing for their own homes, Pentukaolin calmly said "Don't touch this again." Though not present at the scene, it was Hapolentelorn who called it "The Crescendos" when questioned on the matter by the mahn living in her Disigno, indicating that all of the Seven Melodies are both aware of its existence and its importance.
