Beggars Cove
"Oh yeah... that shit hole? The shanty slum shit hole of theives and beggars more like it. I heard some of those shipping boats were relieved of their shipment near that place" - Tavern Patron
Beggars Cove was once known as "Ruvig", a small and simple village just off the coast of Seethwater Bay that was home to a fairly sized fishing and sea markets. However, the landscape near has been drastically changing and turning baren. This is most likely due to the faulting land of the The Magneau Morass expanding its grasp. Much of the merchants and people left to find better homes and was left with impovereshed people, beggars, thugs and neardowells. Thus the town was renamed regionally as Beggars Cove.
Beggars Cove rests in a rocky set of large alcoves and caves and docks that are illuminated by small cracks and holes in the rock ceilings that let little sunlight through. These caves are supposedly connected by a large vast network of tunnels that are unmapped and twisted. Many believe these vary tunnels are home to the base operations of the The Ivory Ring, however these are just rumors and assumptions.
Politics and Law:
Althought the area of Beggars Cove is a bit lacking in Helm Watchers, there is a group of ruthless mercenaries that have assumed rule of law known as the "Iron Whalers" and uphold loose rules. The Iron Whalers used to be whalers before the lands changed and can easily be paid off to look the other way or offered favor by influential peoples.
Infrustructure:
Subnetwork of tunnels and caves.
Points of Interest:
The Honey Rock. A large massive boulder that rests wihtin the main alcove disctrict that strangly secretes and leaks honey.
