Sarnem

Built within the eternal Dark by the hands of the Veanifae (The Four), of which come from the eternal stars that are havens in the Dark. Formed from the turbulent fire and earth that was before, the Veanifae calmed it and seeded it with life to create a haven for their offspring, which were in the eye of them.   It is said that the Veanifae ruled Sarnem and gave paradise to their offspring, the Daidenor (Progenitors). Paradise was lost when the Veanifae went away and the Daidenor were alone. Many years they wandered and were split and not one people any more.   New forces came to Sarnem in that time and there new gods and greater forces came to control the fate of the Daidenor. And through the use of Ley, the energy of the arcane, the Daidenor became different, and so did all the beasts and beings of Sarnem.   Many thousands of years have passed since that time, and now the world has progressed to high middle ages. The world was however recently subject to a demonic invasion of which no one could have predicted. After nary a year the demons were winning, yet they receded and left Sarnem. And Sarnem was forever changed.   These days many records and people were taken, burned and destroyed, and not much is known of the history of the world, even to eighty years in the past. The setting takes place in Etrosia where new challenges face its people, as old rivalries awaken from power vacuums and once oppressed and disenfranchised peoples rise to stake their claim to this world.
