It's the latter half of the 26th century and humanity has conquered its home solar system with the construction of a Dyson Swarm; a megastructure able to capture and utilize the entire energy output of a star. The Dyson Swarm provides immense power and resources to countless trillions of beings and powers the colonization of other solar systems with vast arrays of interstellar pushing lasers. Humanity also no longer walks its path alone we have uplifted animals and created AIs to be our equals and they now live alongside humanity. Humanity has also seen triumph over aging and death with mind uploading and advanced nanotechnology, allowing people to live as long as they choose. Despite these triumphs, humanity and its partners still face internal and existential threats in the form of; Immortal Authoritarians, Religious Reactionaries, Super-emporwed Terrorists, Hostile Superintellienges, Stellar Disasters, and Unknown Threats. In order to ensure the continued survival and freedom of all life, numerous clandestine organizations work tirelessly combat to the aforementioned threats.
