Sanguine Nights

In the history of the world, vampires have roamed the streets and mingled among humans, even co-existing at certain points. With brutal war emerging at others.   The story takes place during several time periods, but are connected in mythology and legend. The vampire families are notoriously hard to snuff out, and they are not too proud to go into hiding for a century or two, while things calm down.   Vampires are, by nature, not the good guys, though some try as they might. They are subject to bloodlust and have no choice but to feed on the living human populace, as their blood is the only thing that can keep them going through their non-life.
