Session VI: taking the Sea Ghost, part 1

General Summary

(night of 6/7 Ready'reat)- two nights after the hurricane, in diminishing amounts of rain, the Sea Ghost appeared around midnight and answered the appropriate lantern signals. Our heroes left the two city and house guards behind at the "Haunted" house to apprehend any smugglers that came ashore, and rowed out in their own boat to meet her.   Pretending to be the shore-based smugglers, our heroes bluffed their way aboard the main deck, but a fight quickly broke out. Nine smugglers, including a wizard, fought them. Two were captured after they'd gone overboard. Whimbrel Brightmarsh and Grogu had hard times in this fight.   The captain's and wizard's cabins were inspected and papers were taken for later perusal. The two captured smugglers were promised safe passage away on a sailboat, if they'd show where the smuggled goods were kept. They revealed a stash of weapons, bearing the King's stamp!
