Saltha National Museum of Karathe

The National Museum is a museum located in the capital city of Karathe, housed in what was formerly the royal palace.
 

History

After the removal and execution of Kakela, there was debates of what to do with the palace. Some wanted to destroy it, and build housing, or a public space of some sort. But the plan for a museum ultimately won out. The museum's foundihng mission was and is to teach on the cruelties of the kings, perticuarly the last king that lead to the revolution, and the founding of the republic.

Near-History/Rise of the Republic Exibit:

"King-killer" sword - Iron sword in the salthan style (square) Once owned by revolutionary Ginenoshu and used in execution of King Kakela. The Black Sword - Obsidian Salthan style sword. Owned by King Kakela. The Emperor's Crown - Iron crown, worn by King Kakela "Flogging of Karathe" - Oil on canvas painting. A depiction of the flogging of Karathe, depicting 3 naked people (male, female and a male child) Original Republic Constitution (1 KG) -  The original copy of the constitution. "The meeting of the founders" (1KG) - Oil on canvas painting. Depicting the writing of the first republic constitution
 

Ancient History Wing

Pre-city Stone tools (C. 6000+ KG) - Stone tools from the era before the Salthan people were living in caves or nomads. Fish drawing inscribed on Copper sheet, (Relton area, C. 5000 KG) From sometimes shortly after the establishment of Relton, on the West coast. Cowrie Shell money (Relton area, C.5000 KG) - Cowrie shells that are specially marked with a stamp, indicating use as money for trade.This was the common currency in the Western areas (and spread some to the East) until barter with precious metals and coins became more common. Sandwurm Tooth Knife (C. 5000 KG) - a knife carved from a wurm tooth. Liekly found, or possibly dislodged.  There are legends of ancient peoples killing sandwurms. Original Book of Santh (C. 300 KG) - Religious book that was begining of unification of local deities into a single religion, that helped begin the unification of the country. Figure of Laikei, C. 600 KG) - simple stone figure of female salthan, running. She is nude, except for a cloth against her loins and a cloth in her arms that trail behind her.
