Execution

The family is appointed and paired by the elders of the village. The elders take account of their power level and family standing. If the two have shown no affection towards each other during the courting period, then they will not be paired. However, if the two have vast magical powers, then they will have no choice than to produce an heir. Once the elders have agreed to the bond the family of the bride and groom are gathered at the stronger family's home. Social status is highest when you hold strong powers. Everyone is to wear their specific robes created by elders in order to signify who they are. One-time robes are created in order for the ceremony to take place. The robes are the color of each of the family's colors. Outside the bride and groom stand with their door open. The door open signifies the will of change in the families lives. The groom kneels on his feet and hands his bride his chosen weapon. The bride accepts and kneels facing him and placing the weapon between them. The elders walk between them out of the house and bless the two. The elders paint the marriage facial paint on them. After the elders are done with their blessings the bride takes her weapon and reaches across the groom and cuts his hair short. She will keep his hair. This signifies their long-lasting bond. The groom takes the brides weapon and cuts the backside of his hand he also does the backside of her hand. The blood from his hand will be mixed in the final powder. The bride makes three flower petals on the groom's forehead, the groom does the same on the bride. The blood and ashes signify that their willingness to be tied to each other for life. After the last anointment, the groom and bride stand with their respective weapons and infuse their magic into the ashes the elders hold. A strand of the groom's hair is placed in the pot and the brides blood drips in. Finally, water is poured in the pot. Soon it changes color. The color can either change to purple or green. Purple means medium strength child and green means weak/no magic. The reception is held however the family chooses to do so.
