Ceaertayes Hold
Across the Kelt Inlet, on the Eastern side of the Cliffs of Kaane, sits the formidable and imposing Ceaertayes Hold. The tales tell of an evil warlord who ruled the castle with an army of unsavory fighters - orcs, hobgoblins, gnolls, even trolls. After ignoring the rumors, Coniston eventually sent a troop towards the reported location of the hold. No one knows what happened after that, but the stories say the troops arrived on the plains to find the warlord and his army waiting for them. Some tales say that the warlord was twice the size of a normal man, with blood red eyes, pale and ashen skin, and a voice that roared like thunder through the sky. Other tales say his army numbered in the thousands as they rushed the Conistonian troops and obliterated them. No one returned to Coniston from the battle, but further scouting troops never encountered an army, either - they did, however, come across a plain that was later dubbed as the Fields of Sacohx due to the mounds of dirt, rock, and apparent metal and bone that litter the field. The fields are considered to be one of the largest natural graveyards in all of the realms, and they are said to be one of the most haunted places known to man. To this day, Ceaertayes Hold can be seen towering above the fields on the top of the Cliffs of Kaane, but no one has ever been seen coming to or going from it. In fact, there is no visible way of actually reaching the hold, other than scaling up the sheer face of the cliffs which are almost a thousand feet tall.
