Safiro is a young world molded by five planeswalkers who are worship by their creations as gods. The five gods work hard to safeguard the world from creatures and planeswalker from the void planes.
Over 300yrs before the first cycle, the five gods made the ultimate sacrifice! They put themselves into deep sleep were they use most of their magic to fuel a magic barrier. An interconnected magic leylines of magic that prevent any other creatures from other planes from crossing over Safiro.
One catch. Every cycle the planeswalkers must recover their strength. During that time the barrier must come down. With a weaken gods to defend Safiro, the world needs other means to protect itself.
