A world newly created for reasons unknown. Creatures have been drawn to this place by mysterious forces and given nothing to survive. Many Humanoids have created small sanctums all over the globe trying desperately to survive, many failing.   A few generations ago the solutions to their struggles manifested themselves as 7 floating islands spread across the world, drifting gently. These islands contained small gems at their core which grant fantastical powers to those they come into contact with. The first became the Starcallers capable of reading and manipulating the future laid within the stars to alter reality itself, even managing to accelerate and slow the islands that gave them power. The Starcallers taught others of their kind how to affect the world like they do, creating the first Wizards, Bards and Sorcerers in the process.   People started believing in these impossibly powerful individuals and their faith transformed them. From mortals bound to this plane they ascended and used their newfound power to lock away the most dangerous of the wandering creatures into different realities, Planes, suited to their needs. The original Starcallers became gods. Ever since creating settlement and thriving became the norm. People became Clerics, Paladins, Druids, Warlocks and Rangers to discover and adventure.   However their desire for more got the better of them a select few Druids and Warlocks worked together to create a minor fraction into the Planes, just small enough to travel to these places. This incursion was noticed and the individuals were quickly annihilated, leaving only the tears they created. The monsters learned how to manipulate them and soon great settlements came to a violent end.   Humanoids had since the separation of the Planes gained enough power to survive the incursion but only barely. They retreated to the islands, and started to live their lives in solitude.
