Not Dead Ned

Edward Everett (a.k.a. Not Dead Ned)

The lone caretaker of the cemetery, Not Dead Ned is the first and often last like of defense against the undead. While he does not know why his cemetery is a magnet for the undead he will protect it and the town around it.

Each brush with death has left Ned stronger and tougher for it. Ned has the toughness of the grave and has grown far stronger than the average human.

Personal history

Ned Everett is a cemetery caretaker constantly surrounded by death. With zombies, creatures stealing corpses, and the constant parade of ghosts things have only gotten weirder. At first, Ned was terrified of his ability to see and hear the dead. Sometimes when he would finish burying someone, Ned would be awakened to the chilling cry of a new visitor.
Ned soon learned if he did nothing the dead would just hurt others so Ned became the first line of defense. He took it upon himself to protect the living, escorting the undead back to their final resting place. As he has fought the dead he has gained an array of tricks and abilities to assist his quest and he has somehow survived and grown harder and tougher. Unknown to Ned he has died several times but each time he has returned to life with another scar and a little tougher.

Employment

Ned was originally a miner like his father but never did well. Ned took the job of cemetery caretaker after his uncle died and willed the cemetery to Ned.

Mental Trauma

No matter how many times he sees ghosts he is always frightened by their sudden appearance. While he has learned not to run screaming he still finds being around ghosts uncomfortable.

Morality & Philosophy

Ned is generally a good person and is willing to risk his own life to protect others. This has been proven several times as Ned has nearly died fighting vampires, werewolves, and a necromancer so others could flee.
