Resal

The Resalum are a semi-humanoid species from the planet Povogon. They have many traits in common with Earth fungi. They are the founder species of the Povogon Company, arguably the most powerful civilization in the Orion arm. A Resal's crests are made of a spongy material that can be carved and shaped as desired, and act as an equivalent to hairstyles. Males have two crests and females have one.

Biological Traits

Have crests on their heads, made of a spongy material. These crests do not have nerves and regenerate slowly if damaged. Males have 2 crests, and females have 1.

Genetics and Reproduction

Males have 2 downward facing vents on their chest that release spores. Females have 3 upward facing vents which take in these spores.

Additional Information

Facial characteristics

Largely featureless, except for their pure black eyes and a pair of large gills. They have an underbite, and their lower jaw has 2 - 6 toothlike protrusions. They do not have teeth.
