RPG News Roundup 12-10-2022
Hello, this is the RPG Crawler, and welcome to another RPG News Roundup, this time for December 10th, 2022, where each week I take a look back at the week in tabletop, computer, and console roleplaying game news and bring you the highlights.

And with that, let’s dive right into rpg news. It looks like Elden Ring won Game of the Year at the Game Awards, with both Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok taking home multiple categories. Further, Final Fantasy XIV took best ongoing game and best community support.
Then, while not strictly an rpg event, one which has a fair number of rpgs within it, there’s the #TurnBasedFest, ongoing through December 12th. It includes sales on steam featuring various turn based games, including a fair number of RPGs, sims, strategy games, roguelikes, and more.
River City Girls 2 is set for release on consoles and PC on December 15th. It will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch. It’s a spin off to the classic brawler series, and features a half dozen characters, with online co op play.
Then, Trinity Fusion is set to release on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S sometime next year. It will be a side scrolling sci fi action roguelite rpg, where you play an interdimensional warrior linked to three other selves.
Path of the Midnight Sun, a turn based rpg is set for release on January 10th on the PC. It is a jrpg inspired game that has you protecting a noblewoman who has the soul of the Demon King sealed inside her.
It looks like tactical RPG Fire Emblem Engage is getting an expansion pass, to include four waves of content starting on launch day, February 20th of next year. The first wave will include a few stat boost bracelets, various support items and accessories, and an in game discount card, with the next few additional waves including additional emblems and items, and the final one, set for December of next year featuring a new story with new characters and maps.
Then, Horizon Forbidden West is getting an expansion called Burning Shores, set for release on April 19th of next year on PS5. It will feature the wilds of Los Angeles, rendered into a volcanic archipelago.
Hades II, the aptly named sequel to Hades, is set for release into early access sometime next year. Inspired by Greek mythology, this one will take place sometime after the prior game, and feature an immortal Princess of the underworld this time, facing off against Chronos.
Action RPG Remnant II, sequel to Remnant: From the Ashes is slated for release sometime in 2023 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. It will be a third person action rpg featuring both shooting and melee combat, where you face off against the Root, through semi random campaigns.
Final Fantasy XVI got its release date set. It looks like it’ll be dropping on June 22nd of next year for the PS5. It’ll have a collector’s edition available through Square Enix’s stores, as well as a physical deluxe edition.
Baldur’s Gate III is getting its final release in August of next year. It looks like it’ll have a collector edition available, which you can pre order now, and another panel will detail more information on December 14th.
Action RPG Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is in development for PC, Ps5, and Xbox Series X/S, with a targeted window of late next year. It’ll be set in a fictional North American area of New Eden in the late 17th century, and follow a set of ghost hunters around.
Wayfinder is set to release sometime in 2023, targeted for PC, Ps4, and PS5. It’ll be an online action rpg that has you facing off against a force called the Gloom which is devouring the world of Evenor.
It looks like Bandai Namco’s Blue Protocol is getting a release through Amazon Games sometime next year. Targeted for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and the PC, it’ll feature a planet once ruled by godlike beings, now filled with a mystical light known as the Engram.
Tsurugihime is under development for release sometime in 2024. It is to be a side scrolling action RPG that has players set with a timeline of 100 days to prepare for a final battle, using crafting and various other elements of play to build their skills.
As far as actual releases go, Elden Ring got a free pvp update, unlocking the Colosseums scattered throughout the land. It includes 3 modes team combat, a free for all fight, and one on one duels.
Then, Kynseed saw its official release. It is a life sim sandbox rpg where you raise a family and build up a business or farm or whatever, and then follow your family’s legacy over generations.
Not an RPG, but often of interest to fans of the genre, Dwarf Fortress saw its release on steam. The steam release includes new interface and graphics set up to make it more accessible to people who might’ve struggled with the older presentation.
Chained Echoes saw its release. It’s an oldschool 16 bit inspired jrpg style game, where you play a group of heroes traveling around a continent, seeking to end a war between three kingdoms.
VR RPG RuinsMagus had some DLC released. Called The Warrior and the Tailor, it includes a new side story area after chapter five, new headware and costumes, and a new boss battle.
Post Apcalyptic RPG Space Wreck got released into early access. Inspired by Fallout, it features a short but deep branching adventure with the ability to completely avoid combat on the way to completion if you manage it right.
Fear & Hunger 2: Termina saw release. It is a combination of jrpg and survival horror where you must manage resources, deal with turn based battles, and find out the secrets of a wicked town before the green moon rises to its apex.
Crawl Tactics was released on PC, and is a hybrid tactical rpg and roguelike, where you must manage your party of adventurers to conquer a dungeon, with various environments generated for each battle.
Bridging crpg and tabletop gaming, Chronos builder saw its release on steam. It’s a map creator tool for various genres of tabletop rpg environments, letting you build and model them in 3d.
Further, Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen, latest in the 5th edition releases, saw its release onto fantasy grounds unity.
And now, onto tabletop rpg news. We’ll start with Pathfinder RPG: Rage of Elements, which will be an expansion for Pathfinder 2nd edition slated for July 2023. The rulebook will explore elemental magic, include the kineticist class, as well as feature new elemental spells and gear. And starting in April 2023 there will be a new monthly adventure path campaign, called the Stolen Fate adventure path. It’ll be a three part campaign that kicks off with The Choosing, designed for eleventh level characters.
Moving on to minor and pdf releases, there’s Infernal Tomes I: Grimoire of the Blackened Bone, for Pathfinder. It is a pathfinder rpg tome that includes new undead rules, including a way to make undead, new prestige classes and feats, etc.
Then the Alchemist’s Cookbook from Eldritch Osiris games is available for pathfinder 2nd edition. It’s a tome of alchemical resources, including four new research fields, four class archetypes, 13 alchemist class feats, and so on.
Dragonshorn Studios has Encounters volume VII, Jungles of Jakatar for 5th and 3.5 edition. It includes 10 encounters with tactics, hooks, and leads, all focused around a jungle design, with maps, monsters, and magic items.
Grim Press has Unearthed Spoils #12 – Worlds Apart, a fifth edition spacefaring supplement, that includes various spells, a cleric archetype, a sorcerer archetype, a new background, new magic items, various creatures, and a fourth level adventure.
Shadow on the Bramblewood is a fifth edition adventure for various levels, which can be used individually or dropped in as a side quest. It includes 20 brand new monsters, an 18 room fey forest dungeon, and so forth.
Cryomancy from Luna Publishing is a supplement for fifth edition that is focused around ice themed characters, including five subclasses, various feats and a background, several ice themed spells and a few cold themed magic items.
Luna Publishing also has a number of Holiday Horrors adventures for fifth Edition. There’s the Snow Bride, for 12th level characters that deals with the disappearances of young men from a town. Then, Yule Sprig is suitable for fifteenth level characters, and features a small village obtaining a yuletide tree when the woods themselves attack. Frosted is suitable for 10th level characters and features a frozen sorceress in a castle made of ice. Blood in the Snow is for 3rd level characters and deals with a contest between two communities which goes wrong. Finally, A Swell Birching is suited for 6th level characters and deals with a visit from Krampus, who has somehow taken an innocent child.
Aenarion’s Coven has Wrath of the Diseased, second in a series of fifth edition short adventures, each focused on a different type of Hag. This one features a plague hag.
The Knights Synar is a fifth edition adventure inspired by the legend of the Knights Templar, and revolves around a long lost castle for an order of knights, which conceals its dark history.
Laidback DM Has Shotglass Rounds #13 – Gates of Shun-Zin, another adventure in the one shots series set around Dungeon Duumhaven mini campaign, this one features the outside of the massive gates of Shun Zin, which have been shut due to a mysterious earthquake.
Adventures Await Studios has several fifth edition adventures. Shipwreck of the Sea Mephit is a 3rd level adventure that deals with a sudden storm that smashes the players’ ship on some rocks and strands them on a desert island. The Mines of Kazakahn is suited for seven level characters, and deals with a dwarven outpost lost to duergar over a century ago. The Sanctum of She’kar is a 3rd level adventure that deals with a warlock who sought to break the pact that ruled him most of his life. A Deadly Disturbance is a fifth level adventure that deals with a village with a crypt haunted by undead. The Road to Swordfall is a 2nd level adventure that features a village which is the target of a pilgrimage. Curse of the Blood Moon is a 2nd level one that deals with a threat from some dark druids, and finally the Feylight Festival is a first level adventure that features an otherworldly festival in the feylands.
Elven Tower has Dungeon Vault Magazine #28, a compilation of adventures, lore, and so forth for fifth edition. This issue includes 10 original adventures, 3 guest articles, and so forth.
The Island of Lord Claw, from Lorelock, is a compendium of holiday themed 5th edition material, including locations, factions, magic items, monsters, and a plug and play adventure where dwarves and a snow golem seek to free their kin from Lord Claw.
Assault on Santa’s Workshop from Scoundrel Game Labs is a fifth edition holiday themed adventure for level 5 characters, that involves taking Santa’s Workshop back from drow.
Spellpunk: Solar & Sunder is a fifth edition microsetting, dealing with an elemental punk world, ravaged by one scientist’s attempt to unlock lost secrets. It includes both nature and science as balancing forces.
Phillip Reed Games has the Bizarre series, a group of offerings for OSR or d20 based rpgs with d66 style entries. There’s bizarre foes that offers various NPCs to be used in encounters and adventures, Bizarre chests that includes various chests and their contents. Bizarre Seafolk includes various undersea npcs, and Bizarre Citizens includes various NPCs that can be encountered in cities and towns and other places.
The Lake of Bones is a Worlds Without Number compatible adventure from parts per million. It features a lake with a hag who lives within it, who has resorted to eating anything she could find due to a lack of fish, and has acquired a taste for human flesh.
Bad Things Happen in Dungeons is an osr style system agnostic death alternative setting, that gives various things that can happen to pcs who are lost or defeated in places underground, that don’t necessarily involve their death, as well as ways to introduce replacement PCs.
Jeremy Hart’s Creature Feature Quarterly volume 11 is available in old school essentials and lamentations of the flame princess formats. Once again it includes sixteen new monsters, with fluff, descriptions, lore, paper mini and virtual tabletop designs.
Blackoath Entertainment has Chronicles, Volume 1 for Sacrifice, a collection of scenarios for the Sacrifice: An Incense & Iron RPG. I reviewed the core system a while back, and I’ve got a review of the companion offering coming up, it’s good stuff, so nice to see adventures for it.
Dungeon Delve: Labyrinth of the Dweller is an OSR style adventure for levels 6-8, that covers the caverns of Azek-Vhool, and the treasures and monsters which lair within. Then there’s also Mystery of the Wood of Dark Boughs, dungeon delve number 5, another OSR style module that is for levels 2-4. It has characters trying to solve a dispute between two neighboring villages.
The Red Room has The Bastard King, a scenario for Wretched Epoque. It features a strange series of self terminations that has run through Paris, where the deceased all were marked by the same strange sign.
Undergrowth is a tabletop rpg that focuses on small creatures in a big world. There’s two offerings: The Traveler’s Guide and the Weaver’s Guide, which feature the player and gm focused material individually. The Traveler’s guide covers character creation for 19 different sentient animals, 14 classes, and offers 40 traits, while the weavers guide offers various domains and hazards to challenge players with during travel in your world, plus over 71 creatures and guides on creating the world.
Psionics Fantasy Companion for savage worlds adventure edition is a third party offering that introduces psionic arts to a fantasy campaign, and includes various ancestries, hindrances, edges, backgrounds, powers, items, creatures, and so on.
Of Point and Pommel is an historical and low fantasy roleplaying system from Longsword Games. It is suited for 14th and early 15th century combat and includes historically accurate takes on weapons, armor, and so on.
Onyx Path has Adversaries of the Righteous collected edition, a sourcebook for exalted, which deals with characters designed to include in games as antagonists and allies, from mortals to elementals to denizens of the wild and more.
They also have connection Lost: A Pugmire: Squeaks in the Deep Jumpstart set. It’s available in print, and includes a mysterious setting, a summary of the traditional fantasy rules system, a complete adventure, and five ready to play characters.
Cubicle 7 has Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying: Archives of the Empire Volume 3, a collection of articles to flesh out the empire, ranging from a guide to setting up business enterprises, details on the god of trade, information on folk worship and hedge magic, a few cults, and some rules updates.
EDGE Studio has Legend of the Five Rings: Imperfect Land, an adventure for Legend of the Five Rings rpg that details the Brotherhood of Shinsei and the Perfect Land Sect.
Stellagama Publishing has Cepheus Deluxe Enhanced Edition, basically an improved layout and nicer version of the Cepheus Deluxe Rules. It includes new layout, full color artwork, rules clarifications where needed, included errata, and deck plans for all of the included star ships.
Free League has Vaesen – Seasons of Mystery, a compilation of four cases for Vaesen Nordic Horror Roleplaying, each one set for a different season of the year.
Modiphius has Achtung! Cthulhu 2d20: Forest of Fear, a scenario for the aforementioned system dealing with a massive late war adventure versus both the occult forces of the National Socialists as well as an ancient evil in the forest itself.
Fixers from the Floorboards is a zine style rpg that details the adventures of four inch tall heroes trying to solve problems for the Big Folk within their house, all while not getting caught.
Awesome Powers Omnibus for Bash! Ultimate Edition rules is a streamlined compendium of the entire Awesome Powers collection for building your own super powered heroes and villains.
A Sunless Space is a quick collaborative system that basically has characters playing rebels against various oppressors, in whichever genre is desired.
Finally, there’s Monster Adoption Center, a rules light system that is designed about making connections, allowing you to adopt monsters brought into the center, learn what they need to live, then find them new forever homes.
And now, onto crowdfunding campaigns. Remember that contributing to a crowdfunding campaign should be done only at your own risk. Doing so is no guarantee of even receiving a product. Mention here is not an endorsement but is for informational purposes only.
We’ll start with Inquisitor’s Order, a monster hunter campaign for fifth and pathfinder second edition. It is to be a series of one shots and a campaign sourcebook, in which adventurers basically go off to track down monsters, while dealing with the optional guild politics and building up their guild.
Then there’s Silverplate, which is to be a campaign setting and adventure saga for fifth edition that features edible player options, monsters, and magic items. Basically it’s a land based on sentient food products.
Witches of the Sea is to be a fifth edition compendium of seafearing magic, dealing with oceangoing divine power. I’ll include new spells, magic items, a new deity, and a new cleric domain.
Venatoria is to be another hunting based fifth edition supplement, this time dealing with a monster hunter guide in a dark fantasy setting, including a series of one shots, uses for various bodies of monsters, different sorts of monsters, etc.
The Ballad of Aerin is to be A Chronicles of Ivria fifth edition dark fantasy supplement and adventure, a one shot supplement that should include enough material for a level 1 to 5 beginner friendly adventure.
Fernsby’s Museum of Outlandish Oddities is to be a fifth edition one shot for level 2 characters, a murder mystery set in a local history museum, that can be dropped into any campaign.
Finally, there’s Scrap Rats Strikes Back, a campaign and setting guide for the mothership rpg that covers the second part of the Osirian Ascendency trilogy of adventures.

And with that, let’s dive right into rpg news. It looks like Elden Ring won Game of the Year at the Game Awards, with both Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok taking home multiple categories. Further, Final Fantasy XIV took best ongoing game and best community support.
Then, while not strictly an rpg event, one which has a fair number of rpgs within it, there’s the #TurnBasedFest, ongoing through December 12th. It includes sales on steam featuring various turn based games, including a fair number of RPGs, sims, strategy games, roguelikes, and more.
River City Girls 2 is set for release on consoles and PC on December 15th. It will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch. It’s a spin off to the classic brawler series, and features a half dozen characters, with online co op play.
Then, Trinity Fusion is set to release on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S sometime next year. It will be a side scrolling sci fi action roguelite rpg, where you play an interdimensional warrior linked to three other selves.
Path of the Midnight Sun, a turn based rpg is set for release on January 10th on the PC. It is a jrpg inspired game that has you protecting a noblewoman who has the soul of the Demon King sealed inside her.
It looks like tactical RPG Fire Emblem Engage is getting an expansion pass, to include four waves of content starting on launch day, February 20th of next year. The first wave will include a few stat boost bracelets, various support items and accessories, and an in game discount card, with the next few additional waves including additional emblems and items, and the final one, set for December of next year featuring a new story with new characters and maps.
Then, Horizon Forbidden West is getting an expansion called Burning Shores, set for release on April 19th of next year on PS5. It will feature the wilds of Los Angeles, rendered into a volcanic archipelago.
Hades II, the aptly named sequel to Hades, is set for release into early access sometime next year. Inspired by Greek mythology, this one will take place sometime after the prior game, and feature an immortal Princess of the underworld this time, facing off against Chronos.
Action RPG Remnant II, sequel to Remnant: From the Ashes is slated for release sometime in 2023 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. It will be a third person action rpg featuring both shooting and melee combat, where you face off against the Root, through semi random campaigns.
Final Fantasy XVI got its release date set. It looks like it’ll be dropping on June 22nd of next year for the PS5. It’ll have a collector’s edition available through Square Enix’s stores, as well as a physical deluxe edition.
Baldur’s Gate III is getting its final release in August of next year. It looks like it’ll have a collector edition available, which you can pre order now, and another panel will detail more information on December 14th.
Action RPG Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is in development for PC, Ps5, and Xbox Series X/S, with a targeted window of late next year. It’ll be set in a fictional North American area of New Eden in the late 17th century, and follow a set of ghost hunters around.
Wayfinder is set to release sometime in 2023, targeted for PC, Ps4, and PS5. It’ll be an online action rpg that has you facing off against a force called the Gloom which is devouring the world of Evenor.
It looks like Bandai Namco’s Blue Protocol is getting a release through Amazon Games sometime next year. Targeted for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and the PC, it’ll feature a planet once ruled by godlike beings, now filled with a mystical light known as the Engram.
Tsurugihime is under development for release sometime in 2024. It is to be a side scrolling action RPG that has players set with a timeline of 100 days to prepare for a final battle, using crafting and various other elements of play to build their skills.
As far as actual releases go, Elden Ring got a free pvp update, unlocking the Colosseums scattered throughout the land. It includes 3 modes team combat, a free for all fight, and one on one duels.
Then, Kynseed saw its official release. It is a life sim sandbox rpg where you raise a family and build up a business or farm or whatever, and then follow your family’s legacy over generations.
Not an RPG, but often of interest to fans of the genre, Dwarf Fortress saw its release on steam. The steam release includes new interface and graphics set up to make it more accessible to people who might’ve struggled with the older presentation.
Chained Echoes saw its release. It’s an oldschool 16 bit inspired jrpg style game, where you play a group of heroes traveling around a continent, seeking to end a war between three kingdoms.
VR RPG RuinsMagus had some DLC released. Called The Warrior and the Tailor, it includes a new side story area after chapter five, new headware and costumes, and a new boss battle.
Post Apcalyptic RPG Space Wreck got released into early access. Inspired by Fallout, it features a short but deep branching adventure with the ability to completely avoid combat on the way to completion if you manage it right.
Fear & Hunger 2: Termina saw release. It is a combination of jrpg and survival horror where you must manage resources, deal with turn based battles, and find out the secrets of a wicked town before the green moon rises to its apex.
Crawl Tactics was released on PC, and is a hybrid tactical rpg and roguelike, where you must manage your party of adventurers to conquer a dungeon, with various environments generated for each battle.
Bridging crpg and tabletop gaming, Chronos builder saw its release on steam. It’s a map creator tool for various genres of tabletop rpg environments, letting you build and model them in 3d.
Further, Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen, latest in the 5th edition releases, saw its release onto fantasy grounds unity.
And now, onto tabletop rpg news. We’ll start with Pathfinder RPG: Rage of Elements, which will be an expansion for Pathfinder 2nd edition slated for July 2023. The rulebook will explore elemental magic, include the kineticist class, as well as feature new elemental spells and gear. And starting in April 2023 there will be a new monthly adventure path campaign, called the Stolen Fate adventure path. It’ll be a three part campaign that kicks off with The Choosing, designed for eleventh level characters.
Moving on to minor and pdf releases, there’s Infernal Tomes I: Grimoire of the Blackened Bone, for Pathfinder. It is a pathfinder rpg tome that includes new undead rules, including a way to make undead, new prestige classes and feats, etc.
Then the Alchemist’s Cookbook from Eldritch Osiris games is available for pathfinder 2nd edition. It’s a tome of alchemical resources, including four new research fields, four class archetypes, 13 alchemist class feats, and so on.
Dragonshorn Studios has Encounters volume VII, Jungles of Jakatar for 5th and 3.5 edition. It includes 10 encounters with tactics, hooks, and leads, all focused around a jungle design, with maps, monsters, and magic items.
Grim Press has Unearthed Spoils #12 – Worlds Apart, a fifth edition spacefaring supplement, that includes various spells, a cleric archetype, a sorcerer archetype, a new background, new magic items, various creatures, and a fourth level adventure.
Shadow on the Bramblewood is a fifth edition adventure for various levels, which can be used individually or dropped in as a side quest. It includes 20 brand new monsters, an 18 room fey forest dungeon, and so forth.
Cryomancy from Luna Publishing is a supplement for fifth edition that is focused around ice themed characters, including five subclasses, various feats and a background, several ice themed spells and a few cold themed magic items.
Luna Publishing also has a number of Holiday Horrors adventures for fifth Edition. There’s the Snow Bride, for 12th level characters that deals with the disappearances of young men from a town. Then, Yule Sprig is suitable for fifteenth level characters, and features a small village obtaining a yuletide tree when the woods themselves attack. Frosted is suitable for 10th level characters and features a frozen sorceress in a castle made of ice. Blood in the Snow is for 3rd level characters and deals with a contest between two communities which goes wrong. Finally, A Swell Birching is suited for 6th level characters and deals with a visit from Krampus, who has somehow taken an innocent child.
Aenarion’s Coven has Wrath of the Diseased, second in a series of fifth edition short adventures, each focused on a different type of Hag. This one features a plague hag.
The Knights Synar is a fifth edition adventure inspired by the legend of the Knights Templar, and revolves around a long lost castle for an order of knights, which conceals its dark history.
Laidback DM Has Shotglass Rounds #13 – Gates of Shun-Zin, another adventure in the one shots series set around Dungeon Duumhaven mini campaign, this one features the outside of the massive gates of Shun Zin, which have been shut due to a mysterious earthquake.
Adventures Await Studios has several fifth edition adventures. Shipwreck of the Sea Mephit is a 3rd level adventure that deals with a sudden storm that smashes the players’ ship on some rocks and strands them on a desert island. The Mines of Kazakahn is suited for seven level characters, and deals with a dwarven outpost lost to duergar over a century ago. The Sanctum of She’kar is a 3rd level adventure that deals with a warlock who sought to break the pact that ruled him most of his life. A Deadly Disturbance is a fifth level adventure that deals with a village with a crypt haunted by undead. The Road to Swordfall is a 2nd level adventure that features a village which is the target of a pilgrimage. Curse of the Blood Moon is a 2nd level one that deals with a threat from some dark druids, and finally the Feylight Festival is a first level adventure that features an otherworldly festival in the feylands.
Elven Tower has Dungeon Vault Magazine #28, a compilation of adventures, lore, and so forth for fifth edition. This issue includes 10 original adventures, 3 guest articles, and so forth.
The Island of Lord Claw, from Lorelock, is a compendium of holiday themed 5th edition material, including locations, factions, magic items, monsters, and a plug and play adventure where dwarves and a snow golem seek to free their kin from Lord Claw.
Assault on Santa’s Workshop from Scoundrel Game Labs is a fifth edition holiday themed adventure for level 5 characters, that involves taking Santa’s Workshop back from drow.
Spellpunk: Solar & Sunder is a fifth edition microsetting, dealing with an elemental punk world, ravaged by one scientist’s attempt to unlock lost secrets. It includes both nature and science as balancing forces.
Phillip Reed Games has the Bizarre series, a group of offerings for OSR or d20 based rpgs with d66 style entries. There’s bizarre foes that offers various NPCs to be used in encounters and adventures, Bizarre chests that includes various chests and their contents. Bizarre Seafolk includes various undersea npcs, and Bizarre Citizens includes various NPCs that can be encountered in cities and towns and other places.
The Lake of Bones is a Worlds Without Number compatible adventure from parts per million. It features a lake with a hag who lives within it, who has resorted to eating anything she could find due to a lack of fish, and has acquired a taste for human flesh.
Bad Things Happen in Dungeons is an osr style system agnostic death alternative setting, that gives various things that can happen to pcs who are lost or defeated in places underground, that don’t necessarily involve their death, as well as ways to introduce replacement PCs.
Jeremy Hart’s Creature Feature Quarterly volume 11 is available in old school essentials and lamentations of the flame princess formats. Once again it includes sixteen new monsters, with fluff, descriptions, lore, paper mini and virtual tabletop designs.
Blackoath Entertainment has Chronicles, Volume 1 for Sacrifice, a collection of scenarios for the Sacrifice: An Incense & Iron RPG. I reviewed the core system a while back, and I’ve got a review of the companion offering coming up, it’s good stuff, so nice to see adventures for it.
Dungeon Delve: Labyrinth of the Dweller is an OSR style adventure for levels 6-8, that covers the caverns of Azek-Vhool, and the treasures and monsters which lair within. Then there’s also Mystery of the Wood of Dark Boughs, dungeon delve number 5, another OSR style module that is for levels 2-4. It has characters trying to solve a dispute between two neighboring villages.
The Red Room has The Bastard King, a scenario for Wretched Epoque. It features a strange series of self terminations that has run through Paris, where the deceased all were marked by the same strange sign.
Undergrowth is a tabletop rpg that focuses on small creatures in a big world. There’s two offerings: The Traveler’s Guide and the Weaver’s Guide, which feature the player and gm focused material individually. The Traveler’s guide covers character creation for 19 different sentient animals, 14 classes, and offers 40 traits, while the weavers guide offers various domains and hazards to challenge players with during travel in your world, plus over 71 creatures and guides on creating the world.
Psionics Fantasy Companion for savage worlds adventure edition is a third party offering that introduces psionic arts to a fantasy campaign, and includes various ancestries, hindrances, edges, backgrounds, powers, items, creatures, and so on.
Of Point and Pommel is an historical and low fantasy roleplaying system from Longsword Games. It is suited for 14th and early 15th century combat and includes historically accurate takes on weapons, armor, and so on.
Onyx Path has Adversaries of the Righteous collected edition, a sourcebook for exalted, which deals with characters designed to include in games as antagonists and allies, from mortals to elementals to denizens of the wild and more.
They also have connection Lost: A Pugmire: Squeaks in the Deep Jumpstart set. It’s available in print, and includes a mysterious setting, a summary of the traditional fantasy rules system, a complete adventure, and five ready to play characters.
Cubicle 7 has Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying: Archives of the Empire Volume 3, a collection of articles to flesh out the empire, ranging from a guide to setting up business enterprises, details on the god of trade, information on folk worship and hedge magic, a few cults, and some rules updates.
EDGE Studio has Legend of the Five Rings: Imperfect Land, an adventure for Legend of the Five Rings rpg that details the Brotherhood of Shinsei and the Perfect Land Sect.
Stellagama Publishing has Cepheus Deluxe Enhanced Edition, basically an improved layout and nicer version of the Cepheus Deluxe Rules. It includes new layout, full color artwork, rules clarifications where needed, included errata, and deck plans for all of the included star ships.
Free League has Vaesen – Seasons of Mystery, a compilation of four cases for Vaesen Nordic Horror Roleplaying, each one set for a different season of the year.
Modiphius has Achtung! Cthulhu 2d20: Forest of Fear, a scenario for the aforementioned system dealing with a massive late war adventure versus both the occult forces of the National Socialists as well as an ancient evil in the forest itself.
Fixers from the Floorboards is a zine style rpg that details the adventures of four inch tall heroes trying to solve problems for the Big Folk within their house, all while not getting caught.
Awesome Powers Omnibus for Bash! Ultimate Edition rules is a streamlined compendium of the entire Awesome Powers collection for building your own super powered heroes and villains.
A Sunless Space is a quick collaborative system that basically has characters playing rebels against various oppressors, in whichever genre is desired.
Finally, there’s Monster Adoption Center, a rules light system that is designed about making connections, allowing you to adopt monsters brought into the center, learn what they need to live, then find them new forever homes.
And now, onto crowdfunding campaigns. Remember that contributing to a crowdfunding campaign should be done only at your own risk. Doing so is no guarantee of even receiving a product. Mention here is not an endorsement but is for informational purposes only.
We’ll start with Inquisitor’s Order, a monster hunter campaign for fifth and pathfinder second edition. It is to be a series of one shots and a campaign sourcebook, in which adventurers basically go off to track down monsters, while dealing with the optional guild politics and building up their guild.
Then there’s Silverplate, which is to be a campaign setting and adventure saga for fifth edition that features edible player options, monsters, and magic items. Basically it’s a land based on sentient food products.
Witches of the Sea is to be a fifth edition compendium of seafearing magic, dealing with oceangoing divine power. I’ll include new spells, magic items, a new deity, and a new cleric domain.
Venatoria is to be another hunting based fifth edition supplement, this time dealing with a monster hunter guide in a dark fantasy setting, including a series of one shots, uses for various bodies of monsters, different sorts of monsters, etc.
The Ballad of Aerin is to be A Chronicles of Ivria fifth edition dark fantasy supplement and adventure, a one shot supplement that should include enough material for a level 1 to 5 beginner friendly adventure.
Fernsby’s Museum of Outlandish Oddities is to be a fifth edition one shot for level 2 characters, a murder mystery set in a local history museum, that can be dropped into any campaign.
Finally, there’s Scrap Rats Strikes Back, a campaign and setting guide for the mothership rpg that covers the second part of the Osirian Ascendency trilogy of adventures.
