Wendigos

Basic Information

Description
Wendigo’s are formed when a human out of greed or desperation consumes human flesh for a duration of time. Greedy Wendigos are completely vicious in their consumption of human flesh, completely ignoring any “taboo” that will be seen coming up. While those who are formed from desperation, still have that terrifying crave for human. Still have small traces of humanity, being able to utter words on occasion. Though it’s still not known if it any longer knows the meaning of the words. Even so no matter the cause for a Wendigo to appear, they are extremely dangerous and should be avoided at all cost and if in contact with one, you should stay in larger groups for at least a week in order not to be stalked as they tend to go for solo kills.
Stages of Growth and Development:
Wendigo’s start off as humans, but due to environment changes that may cause cannibalism they will slowly morph into an almost unrecognizable creature; becoming abnormally tall, skinny, and animal like mentally and physically. Depending on the animal they eat most is what will define their animal like features, most come animals they hunt other than humans are: Wolves, Deer, Livestock, and on occasion Bears. Wendigos have an increased lifespan and appetite, while it seems they don’t need to eat to survive, they do so anyway constantly.
Living Conditions:
Wendigos often stalk their prey before attacks, even stalking multiple people throughout the day, the reason for this is unknown. Wendigos can thrive in any environment due to their increased senses and abilities; although they still appear to like forested areas best, as it helps them hide easier in the tall trees. Most Wendigos are on a constant move, never setting up a home unless a satisfactory amount of food is present in the area. Wendigos thrive mostly off humans seemingly filling them up for longer.
Additional Information

Notable Aspects or Anatomy:
Although dependent of what the Wendigo has eaten more of, all Wendigo have their abnormally big skulls showing, with snout of whatever animal they’ve eaten poking through underneath the maxilla bone. Other than that they are mostly humanoid, albeit being abnormally tall and skinny. They also have longer fingers, or claws, fur, and paws. Their hearts seem to be completely frozen, no matter what climate they’re in and appear to have no genital structure.
“Social” Structure:
Wendigos have no social structure as they tend to stay awhile from each other, usually screaming when face to face with each other and run away. Reason for this is unknown.
“Taboos”:
While they don’t have a social structure, it can be said it’s almost taboo for a Wendigo to hear out what a victim has to say before being devoured. It’s not known if they any longer understand human speech but they will still calmly wait for you to finish what you to say, even sitting in some cases. Relationship with other Species: Their relationship with other species is simply put it, toxic. As they see almost everything as just, food.
